Postpartum Doula Support

For Postpartum Doula services I serve South San Francisco, Brisbane, Daly City, Millbrae, Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, San Carlos, Belmont, Redwood City, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and along the coast from Pacifica down to Half Moon Bay.

I specialize in the first few days a family is home after the birth of their sweet baby.

My time with you will be spent focused on breastfeeding, the mother's health and sleep, and baby care education. I work with the family and support team on how to care for the new mother. I help craft a care plan so the community around mama and baby can feel confident in their supporting role. These first couple of days is a critical time for ensuring the mother’s body is well cared for so she can heal completely, and to help breastfeeding get off to a good start. Setting good habits for sleep, feeding patterns, and self-care for the mother are hard to establish without a little help. It's also very important to set overall expectations for everyone involved in the life of this new baby on what these first few days, weeks, and months will look like. My goal is to give tools, teach techniques, and craft a plan so that the new mother and her team feel empowered and confident in this exciting, exhausting, emotional time!

In the weeks following the birth, my support is limited to breastfeeding help, troubleshooting latch and milk flow, milk supply (over or under-producing), back-to-work planning, pumping and storing milk, and baby care questions that may arise. These sessions range from two hours of in-person support to a 15-minute phone call.

My work assumes strong support in the home from family and close friends. If the community surrounding the new family is not able to fully cover the care plan needed for optimal healing and support, I have referrals for postpartum doulas who provide a more rounded practice of in-home care, helping care for the mother as she cares for the baby.

Investment:

Initial Package - $450

Once I receive your deposit we can set up the initial phone or video consultation which usually lasts between 45-60 minutes. We use this time to explore your plan for postpartum healing, bonding, and care, and talk through how I will best be able to support you.  I'll send you resources and worksheets after this call to help you as you plan your postpartum healing and support system.  If a follow-up call is needed or if additional time is desired to work through birth plans we can book additional time at my hourly rate.

After your baby is born we will work to schedule time for either the day you arrive home or very soon after. This visit usually lasts 3 hours.

Once you are my client, text message conversations or calls that take less than five minutes of my time are always complimentary. However, if the messages are lengthy, require research, more details, a lot of back and forth, or if a call requires more than five minutes of my time then incremental fees will be applied.

Additional video, phone, or in-person hours are billed at $90/hour

Interviews, Booking, and Payment:

I offer phone and video chat interviews. These usually last around 30-45 minutes.

If you decide my services are a fit for you, then a $225 deposit is requested. The deposit is required to secure your due month on my calendar as I take a limited number of birth and postpartum clients in a given month. The balance must be paid for in advance or before I leave your home on our first visit. My preferred method of payment is Zelle. I'm also happy to accept major credit cards with a small processing fee.

Additional visits and hours will be agreed upon ahead of time and billed after services are rendered.
